At Chester Race Company, we believe that our success lies in embodying a shared vision and adhering to a set of values that empowers us to make a meaningful impact.

With the help of our colleagues across the group, we have been working on establishing our values, vision and mission. Today, we would like to share with you what our values are, and what they mean to us. 

Bold:
As a company, we embrace the notion of boldness, both in our thinking and actions. We constantly push boundaries, challenge the status quo, and strive for innovation in all aspects of our operations. As a result we have seen investment in technology, infrastructure (our new food court at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse) and the introduction of additional themed race days (Oktoberfest). 

Passionate:
We take immense pride in the work we do and approach it with enthusiasm and dedication. Whilst passion is difficult to measure, we can see it within every piece of work our teams deliver. Across 2023, our operations team upskilled just shy of 350 hospitality staff to work on the bar, demonstrating their passion for providing a high level of service at all of our events. 

Considerate:
Being considerate means actively listening to our clients, colleagues, and communities, valuing diversity, and fostering inclusivity. We strive to contribute to sustainable development by recognising social and environmental impacts, and taking steps to mitigate them. Some ways in which we are considerate include building awareness of the importance of health and well-being, training our teams in first aid, introducing self-destruct plastic cups, as well as the installation of solar panels, with many more projects on the agenda. 

Collaborative:
We value open communication, idea-sharing, and collective problem-solving. We actively foster an environment where every voice is heard and respected. We have launched multiple working groups to drive projects with diverse representation from all departments across the business; These groups include sustainability, inclusion, staff engagement and more.
