Contract: Casual / Zero Hours (flexible shifts)

As one of the friendly faces of the racecourse, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming, informative, and vibrant atmosphere for our guests. Through proactive interaction, strong local knowledge, and outstanding guest support, you’ll help enhance every aspect of the race day experience.

Our in-house catering brand, Horseradish, and staffing division, Thyme People, also play a central role in our success. With such a dynamic mix of venues and services, no two days are ever the same. 

 

General Responsibilities: 

  • Providing a first-class, friendly welcome to guests across the racecourse 

  • Acting as a knowledgeable point of contact for directions, venue information, and general enquiries 

  • Creating a positive arrival and departure experience to leave a lasting impression 

  • Proactively identifying and supporting guests who may require additional assistance 

  • Representing the racecourse brand with a professional, approachable, and positive presence 

  • Managing and hosting guest engagement activations across the site, including interactive games, giveaways, photo opportunities, and pop-up experiences 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Experience in drama, theatre, entertainment, or performance-based roles is desirable 

  • A confident, enthusiastic, and guest-focused attitude 

  • Strong communication skills with an approachable manner 

  • Ability to think on your feet and use initiative 

  • Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods 

  • Previous guest-facing experience is an advantage 

  • This role requires you to be over the age of 18 

 

Pay Rates (inclusive of holiday pay):   

💷 £14.03 per hour to increase to £14.60 from April 1st   

    

Shifts & Availability:    
Your schedule, your choice! With our easy-to-use staff app, you’re in control of when you work.     
Most shifts take place during evenings and weekends, giving you flexibility to fit work around your lifestyle.
