This role involves the safe transportation of staff to various venues, timely delivery of stock and furniture, and the efficient loading and unloading of inventory to support smooth logistical operations.

The Company operates three racecourses, Chester, Bangor-on-Dee and Musselburgh, in Scotland. At Chester, we also own and operate - a hotel, a vibrant pub and have other property interests in the city. Not to mention our in-house caterers, Horseradish and our staffing brand – Thyme People. General responsibilities include:
- Follow delivery and collection schedules accurately, ensuring timely arrivals and departures for event setups and breakdowns
- Safely load, transport, and unload event equipment, materials, and structures to and from venues
- Responsibly transport team members to event locations prior to shift start times
- Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS or maps, accounting for traffic, road closures, or time restrictions
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance needs or damage
Skills and Attributes:
- A valid UK driving license with a clean driving history is mandatory
- A Class 1 driving license is desirable
- Proficient and comfortable with driving different vehicles such as mini buses and vans
- Strong knowledge of GPS systems and route planning to ensure timely deliveries
- Skilled in manual handling such as safely loading, unloading, and securing equipment and event materials
- Strong understanding of transport regulations and on-site safety protocols
- Clear and professional communication with team members, clients, and venue staff
Rate of pay (inclusive of holiday pay):
£15.25 per hour
Shift availability:
This is a zero hour contract so shift opportunities can vary however you can choose which you are available for!
Typically evening and weekend work, however Horseradish have lots of events that they need logistical driver support with.
