Are you a detail-oriented Painter and Decorator? Chester Race Company have the fantastic opportunity for a diligent and enthusiastic individual to join the Maintenance department, based in the historic centre of Chester on a permanent, full-time contract.
This role will be pivotal in providing essential support for painting and decorating tasks, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standard.

The successful Painter and Decorator will be responsible for:
- Planning and executing projects throughout the Company’s properties as required
- Providing decorative and faux finishes based on project requirements
- Managing and procuring appropriate supplies
- Ensuring the protection of existing assets during painting and decorating projects.
- Aiding other trades within the maintenance team when required
- Ensuring that all locations are prepared for race days and other events hosted on site
- A high standard approach to maintaining a safe physical environment
- Assisting the Maintenance Manager to contribute to the successful completion and delivery of any additional initiatives
The successful Painter and Decorator will have the following:
- Proven experience in commercial decorating or a similar role
- Good physical stamina with the ability to work at heights and outside in all weathers
- Time efficient and able to work to structured timescales
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for detail and design
- Commitment to high quality and guest experience
- Desirable qualifications can include Health & Safety (IOSH) or IPAF (MEWP)

Salary: from £26,500 per annum
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week; to include all fixtures at Chester and as required at Bangor-on-Dee on race days, both of which may include weekends.
This role is based on-site and therefore reliable commute to Chester City centre is paramount.
